How To Cook Beets In The Slow Cooker

How to cook beets in the slow cooker. If you have large beets cut them in half or quarters the pieces should be no thicker than 2 inches. Remove from the slow cooker with tongs and place on a heatproof platter with a lip to catch any juices. Place the beets into the slow cooker and add 1 cup of water.
Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. Roast in the slow cooker for 4 hours on high. Place wrapped beet in crock pot and cook on high for 3 4 hours.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high or for 4 hours. I make at least two bunches at a time but if you have a large slow cooker you can easily. Place beets inside your slow cooker cover and cook on high for 3 5 hours or until tender.
Discard the greens or make a salad with them. Take the insert off the heat and let the beets cool down enough to handle. Place the beets inside of your slow cooker along with 2 cups of water.
Crock pot roasted beets can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Rub beet with a paper or cloth towel to remove skin. Wrap each beet tightly in foil.
Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or until the beets are tender. Pour over the water and sprinkle over the salt. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
