How To Cook Organic Rice Noodles
First bring a medium sauce pot of water to a boil.
How to cook organic rice noodles. In about 15 minutes the noodles are tender with just the right chewy bite. Unlike wheat noodles rice noodles are not boiled in water over direct heat. And they re so easy to prep.
The cold water will remove surface starch and cool the noodles keeping them from cooking any longer. The starches in rice noodles ride or die for each other come what may they want to stick together. Pull on the noodles with tongs chopsticks or clean hands to separate them.
Instructions add the rice and cold water to a medium sized pot over high heat. Let stand 10 minutes. Add sauce instead of water to the rice noodles as much as possible.
Bring the pot to a boil then immediately cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Simmer the rice no peeking for 12 minutes. Drain without rinsing place still hot in a large bowl and cover with a tea towel.
Simply pour hot water over dry rice noodles and soak them while you prep the rest of the meal. Place all your rice noodles in a deep mixing bowl trying to snap as few of them as possible as you remove them from the package always a challenge for us. Add the rice noodles and cook until just tender 8 to 10 minutes.
To fully cook the noodles allow them to soak for 7 to 10 minutes stirring them gently every 1 to 2 minutes to help loosen them. If the noodles are too long for easy eating cut them into smaller pieces. Then comes the tricky part.
