How To Cook Silverside That Is Not Corned

How to cook silverside that is not corned. Cook in the oven for 30 minutes. Add the bay leaves peppercorns cloves vinegar sugar onions and enough water to cover. Reduce the heat to low cover and simmer for 1 hour 30 minutes or when the beef is firm to the touch.

When the meat is cooked turn the heat off but leave the corned beef in the pot for another 20 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients to the pan and bring to the boil then reduce heat cover and simmer gently until the meat is cooked approx 2 hours. Take the corned beef silverside out of the plastic wrapping and wash it off in cold water.
