How To Cook Steak Butter
If you re not feeling it or you hate garlic leave it out.
How to cook steak butter. While the steak is searing in the pan throw in butter garlic and thyme and baste continuously as the steak finishes cooking. Add the steak to a hot pan then cook for 6 minutes for medium rare or to your liking turning every minute for more flavour try one or a combination of the following halve a garlic clove and rub it over the steak every time you turn it rub the steak with a knob of butter the sweetness from the butter will make it taste divine. Then i flipped it sprinkled that side with salt and cooked it for about 3 minutes continuing to baste it with butter.
The garlic thyme infused butter does all sorts of wonderful things to the steak seeping into the cracks and crevices and adhering to the crust of the steak. Let rest for 3 5 minutes. For medium cook 4 to 5 minutes on second side.
Place the butter in a bowl and add the remaining ingredients. Using the wrap shape the butter into a log. Gently tilting the pan to one side use a long handled large spoon to baste the foaming butter over the steak.
Ok so the garlic is optional. Add the steak and begin to cook by flipping every 30 seconds. During that time i basted it continuously with the butter.
For well done cook 5 to 6 minutes on second side. However i do recommend using real unsalted butter. You guys we are cooking this steak by continuously basting it with butter and oil throughout the cooking process.
Use a spatula to scrape the flavored butter onto a piece of plastic wrap. I add it at the end and it makes a sort of garlic butter. It s actually pretty fun so don t get nervous.
