The internal temperature of your chops should reach 140 145 degrees allow your chops to rest for at least 5 minutes before enjoying.
How to cook veal chop grill. Preheat the grill to high heat about 450 degrees. Unlike beef most cuts of veal are appropriate for the grill. When chips begin to smoke add the veal to the opposite side of the grill from the wood chips but still over direct heat.
For rarer chops cook them for 3 to 4 minutes. Coat chops with oil salt pepper and thyme. Once the wood chips start to smoke lay the chops on the grill.
Season chops with a bot more salt and pepper and grill over high or med high heat via your outdoor grill or grill pan for approximately 7 9 minutes per side cook time will vary on the thickness of your chops. Grill for 5 6 minutes per side for medium doneness turning with tongs halfway through. I trimmed any excess fat off to avoid any flare ups.
Place veal on the grill and cook for about 7 to 8 minutes on each side or until it reaches desired doneness. Preheat grill for medium high heat. Veal is juiciest when it is grilled.
They should be directly over the heat source. Brush both sides of the chops with olive oil. Preheat the grill on high or build a good hot zone if you are using charcoal which i recommend for extra flavor.
Remove chops from grill and allow them rest for 5 or so minutes covered with aluminum foil.
