How To Cook Zucchini Noodles With Pasta Sauce

How to cook zucchini noodles with pasta sauce. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in large skillet or pot. If it gets too thick add a splash of reserved pasta cooking water.
Mix well and bring the skillet up to a bubble. Cook for one minute. Slice the zucchini into thinner strips resembling spaghetti.
For best results place zucchini noodles on paper towels to absorb moisture for several hours or overnight in the refrigerator. Place a skillet over medium high heat add in some olive oil or cooking spray and once the skillet is hot flick water in it should sizzle add in the zucchini noodles. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat then cook and stir zucchini in the hot oil for 1 minute.
Use spiralizer to make vegetable noodles out of zucchini. Add pasta then use two wooden spoons to toss well for 2 minutes or until sauce reduces and is coating the pasta instead of pooling in the skillet. Add water as desired.
Pasta will finish cooking in this step. Once the zuc noodles start to become translucent add tomato sauce and stir gently to combine. Stir in the tomatoes basil and parmesan cheese.
Add water and cook until zucchini is softened 5 to 7 minutes. Cook over medium heat for an additional 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
