How To Make Lobster Tails Broiled

How to make lobster tails broiled. Preheat broiler to high. Set lobster tails on a baking sheet or in an oven safe dish. The cooking time for broiled lobster will vary depending on the size of the tail.
Place the lobster tail on a cutting board or baking sheet. With sharp kitchen scissors or a knife carefully cut the top of the lobster tail shell down to the tip of the tail avoiding the meat. Take a kitchen sheers and cut the shell across the top side of the lobster.
Devein and remove any grit if needed. Make sure not to cut the lobster meat. For example broil a 10 ounce lobster tail for about 10 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Broil lobster tails until lightly browned and lobster meat is opaque about 5 to 10 minutes. The general rule of thumb for lobster tail cooking time is about 1 minute per ounce of individual tail.
Recipe may be prepared using a compound herb butter in place of plain butter. Preheat the oven to medium broil setting 500 f and clean the defrosted lobster. Garnish with lemon wedges to serve.
